Re: Perpetuality - The 60 Player MegaGame (Signup)
Sounds like, despite the supposedly increased max number of units and all, the bug from Dom2 remains where, when there are too many units in the world, reports on neighboring provinces and provinces where you have scouts get unreliable.
Used to see the bug commonly in mid-game on Faerun map games (circa 400-some provinces), and sounds like 1000 provinces and 62 nations causes the bug on turn 2.

I'm not sure about this... I've tested out and played a lot of single player over these last couple weeks with 61 AI players (well over 50 turns) and never seen this happen. Also, reports were not "unreliable" but completely non-existent. It also wouldn't explain the missing battle reports.
I'm not ruling out a bug - but I'd put my money on some kind of corruption file mis/match from last turn instead.

You know.... you don't HAVE to attack something this turn... You could always research with him...

Just don't attack farmlands, you should avoid the knights. Me, not so lucky, bordering only farms and swamps (and I don't fancy a curse this early). Oh well, it's a game of russian roulette all right.

oh, just a heads up, the status page timer is on 48 host schedule, while the game is on 24 hours, so don't get fooled by the status page....

Yeah, I noticed it also. IIRC the status page was on 24h-cycle when I first looked at it in the morning, then it went haywire for a while (and at the same time I couldn't connect to the server, and now it says 48h. Server reset or something?
