Re: Dominions 3 Now Shipping!
Shipping Update
Okay. We are finished for the day. Orders placed through April 01, 2006 went out today.
We are shipping another round tomorrow, but only have a half day to do so. So probably fewer orders will ship tomorrow.
We will be working all weekend. Expect Monday to be the single largest day. And then we will hopefully finish up on Thursday.

Frankly, I'd be wowed by 500 - 1,000 for pre-orders and expect less than that.

Be wowed then. Be really wowed!

Re: Dominions 3 Now Shipping!
That's awesome. I am really, really pleased to hear that. Thrilled even.
I'd love to know ballpark but I'll take it from the "really" that I underestimated by a considerable amount.
Awesome indeed.

Re: Dominions 3 Now Shipping!
got the email notification!!!
good thing I've ordered at 23/03.
What a great and joyful news this is. I wonder how much time is expected for the shipment to reach across the world to Israel... My oh my, even more waiting to come.
(Guess I'll use that time to recheck my PTO balance )

Awesome, this is good to hear. Actually we were talking with my mates here about this 2 days ago, my bet was 2500 pre-ordered copies. Maybe the truth is close to that.

Ahhh then I have done my job well.
Just kidding. But I have been talking up Dom3 in a number of large forums.

Re: Dominions 3 Now Shipping!
This is the best press release of a shipping game I've ever read, and certainly does the game justice. I especially like the part mentioning Shib-Niggurath, a name I've been muttering to myself in moments of excitement for years. How long do you think it will take to get to Virginia since it shipped today?

It is not guaranteed, but Virignia is supposedly next day. Look for it tomorrow.

Re: Dominions 3 Now Shipping!
Just wanted to thank you for keeping us so informed about the shipping process and date estimates Tim.
Sadly I waited until April 18th to order mine and now I must pay for my procrastination...

Re: Dominions 3 Now Shipping!
Hi, I'm an employee at the digital printing facility where Shrapnel's manuals are created (and we're VERY excited to have their business, I might add!). I cannot divulge exact numbers due to company/client confidentiality restrictions, but I will say that we have printed and assembled a very... nice... number of Dom 3 manuals.
I use the word "nice" because I also just happen to be an active supporter of indie software publishers and developers (and a lifelong fan of Shrapnel products), and it's simply AWESOME to see this game explode onto the market like it has. And when I refer to the manuals, I use the word "assembled" because that's exactly what we did with them. These babies are coil-bound. If you've ever seen the manual for a Jane's flight sim, you're pretty close to knowing what the Dom 3 manual looks like. It's absolutely huge. Did I mention that it's COIL-BOUND?!
In a day and age where we (as strategy/war gamers) are lucky to get a 20-page insert stapled inside a DVD case with our games, I have been consistently blown away by the quality and detail of the game documentation that Shrapnel has sent through my company's hands since we've been doing their work.
And yes, I've already read the manual thoroughly. A couple of times. I have lunch breaks, you see.
This game is going to be amazing, and I can't wait to play it.
Congratulations to Shrapnel and Illwinter for releasing what's sure to become the next underdog strategy-gaming phenomenon! Oh, and just let us know when you'll be needing that next batch of Dom 3 manuals.
