I wrote that in the game settings in the first post.
So everybody who signed for the game agreed to that houserule.
YCs hurricane is force majeure so we turn off quickhost until YC is safe back. But after that we will keep 24h quickhost until turn 50. We do want the game to end before dominions 3 comes out. Iirc Dom 3 was announced for late 2005 so we need to hurry with the game. And apart from that it is more fun if it runs fast paced, i.e. at reasonable speed.

Boron, I generally agree with you but since the server is down it might make sense to add additional time to accomodate those like myself who have one or two small windows each day to play. In my case, I did not know about the outage until it was too late, and I worry that I might stale.
