Chelms is LA Man. And we can take a slight break on tomorrow, if we get the game going before then

I've only had the game a month or so and this is the first look I've had outside the early age.
I was just reading the manual though and did you guys know LA Ermor doesn't need to spend money and resources on troops? They just appear. Like magic. How cool is that?

Re: Fracture - LA Game, We're full - pre-game hassle.
vfb linked it already, but here.
Squirreloid, good thinking, but Agartha does not have national recruitable amphibians. Summonable undead though. And I'm betting ermor has it's hands full on the surface Got any better ideas? I'll look around a bit myself when I have time, hands full on other stuff atm.

See edit to post above. I decided to go poke around llamaserver's map list.
It would be nice if llamaserver ordered by province count...

Yeah, I don't really see agartha being a major UW competitor.
RE: maps, I'd just like to say that I find Alexander a little hard on the eyes. GotG is good though, as is AoM.

Re: Fracture - LA Game, We're full - pre-game hassle.
AoM Orc looks interesting, and 32 water provinces would do the trick. I did a version of Glory of Gods which is modded so that no-one can start in a province that has less than three neighbors, but it still has 47 water provinces which is a tad high. Multilayer map also has 64 water provs which is way too much. World of Symmetry has certain bad qualities (preset starting positions iirc, room for two water nations, and it has some mapwide acces portals at least from when I last played it). Alexander has preset positions for everyone but Ermor and R'lyeh, but otherwise it'd be good.
So, basically in my eyes it'd be a competition between Glory of Gods with the starting points modded and AoM Orcs.

The Glory of Gods water provinces are broken up pretty well - i imagine some of those will stay indie for quite some time.

Re: Fracture - LA Game, We're full - pre-game hassle.
Well, the seas are ordered to two parts, 13 provs for the smaller and rest for the bigger if I remember correctly. R'lyeh would want to start in the bigger one, otherwise it'd be kind of.. dead. Sooner than you can say "hey we have an underwater insanity spreading neighbor! Let's take care of him!". And the map has some imbalance with having few farmlands in a clump while others need to survive almost solely on waste/mountain lands. It's not an awful map still though

Re: Fracture - LA Game, We're full - pre-game hassle.
There's Spring rain (321 land + 29 sea), there is even a version with starts for each LA nations ...
And PlanetRorshach (335 + 40).
Maybe PlanetTorshach is the most balanced of all, but it's a little big (a little more than 16 provinces per land nations) ...
