Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
AGS-40 GL. Maybe this year.
ZVEZDA and Interfax have said that the Russian military is expected to adopt the 40mm AGS-40 “Balkan” automatic grenade launcher sometime this year.

The AGS-40 was originally expected to enter service in 2017. It has been claimed that it was tested in the field in Syria.

Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
And it seems the USMC is going back to the 13-man Engineer Squad from the current 9-man one.

Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
Don't have much time, work beckons me. The USMC's newest sniper rifle the Mk13 Mod 7 Long Range Sniper Rifle reached FOC this month. No time for the highlights, you'll just have to read it for yourself.
However in reading this article you'll note I didn't make up the acronym "FOC".

Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
I thought you " shooters" out here might find this useful. Whether or not these weapons have any bearing on the game, I just don't know. They are all being used by their respective militaries.
The stuff we would need is caliber/ROF and Min/Max ranges.
The criteria used is discussed at the beginning of the article but, in short, limited to 5.56mm and 7.63mm weapons, amongst others.

Just picked this up as FYI...
Poland/Ukraine developing/testing a new ATGW.

Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
Amazing how similar most of them look.
When you have a good design don't re-invent the wheel.

Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
SANDF has a new toy the 370 Y4 (MILKOR) medium velocity six-shot grenade launchers along with 20,000 rounds of the new 40mm Medium Velocity (MV) by Rheinmetall. This is an higher velocity extended range munition.
Rounds ordered of medium-velocity ammunition, including high explosive ammunition, high explosive dual-purpose ammunition, practice ammunition, practice tracer ammunition, red phosphorous smoke rounds and orange target marker ammunition.
The new 40mm medium-velocity (MV, ca. 100 m/s) ammunition. The company is currently expanding its MV product. It now includes the new generation of 40mm MV ammunition, which has a maximum effective range of 800 metres, doubling the gunners’s operational reach and providing a flatter trajectory for those crucial close-in, accurately placed shots MV ammunition is.

Wonderful, what did they replace them with or did they decide they didn't need MANPADS any longer ?
The Mistral is all they have ATM
Well this didn't take long

Quote:
Belgian has decided to phase out short range anti-aircraft missiles systems and instead depend on their F-16s and anti-aircraft missile protection provided by the integrated NATO air defense system. Since Belgium is small and surrounded by NATO allies this seems are reasonable decision. This is especially the case as it would be expensive to replace the current Mistral SAM (Surface to Air Missile) system that entered service in the early 1990s. Mistral still works, but it is old. During the last Mistral live-fire training which took place in Estonia during early May 7 out 8 missiles hit their targets. Some of these missiles were from the first 858 missiles ordered back in 1993. While the firing exercise in Estonia went well Belgian revealed that only about 86% of 643 Mistral missiles fired so far had hit their targets.
