Cheers! "Canon" -> Mostly a term used by star trek nuts to refer to something that is not official trek or something like that. Like some nuts say Atrocities ST ship sets are not 'cannon' becuase they don't conform exactly to star trek standards (whatever they are)

Re: Lurk Report HERE
Um, in these forums, DavidG's definition is correct (although that was just ONE ST nut and I hope there's not too many others like him).
But more generally, CANON (with one 'n') is a term borrowed from religion, meaning essentially 'accepted; according to doctrine'. Among us fans, it means 'that which is generally accepted to be a part of that fictional universe'.
In the SW universe, for example, the movies are dfinitely canon, so if you do a shipset with images from the movies, it's canon. If you take a few images from LucasArts computer games, most fans will still consider it canon. If you make up your own to 'fill' the set, it's non-canon.
It's no big deal, if you ask me.
PS - David, is your name pronounced the French (Davee) or the English way ?

Yes, I believe the name changing thread is the #1 thread now for number of Posts. We are very proud of this.

Ask Fyron, he's our resident vampire. Or better yet, ask Katchoo, he's a zombie in the Bar Trek thread.

hmmm, strange how a thread that has a weekly update on a regular basis is considered an 'old thread'
If you really, really, really have something against this lurk-report thread, pitition to have it locked down. Come to think of it, a thread that actually tries to serve the community really is out of place here, maybe it should be locked down. (I can be so sarcastic sometimes.)
Cheers!

Re: Lurk Report HERE
The Mini- Lurk- Report
Gooooooood Morrrrrrrning, all you lurkers. Well yet another week has gone by and it's time for my mini-babble post...
Ok, let's get the self serving part out of the way,.. my Avatar Thread is still in motion and I'm still posting 8 new avatars a day. Drop by and take a look, it's fun, free and sometimes I get interesting requests..
Drumroll please... The Name Changing Thread Has passed the Babalon 5 Thread (for # of Posts) I wonder who they will try to pass next, or if they have achieved the #1 spot for largest thread.
Gt and the gang in the Bar Trek Thread are still having lots of fun and I'm sure they wouldn't mind if some of you lurkers dropped in and made a few Posts.
Thanks to Tesco, Wednesday nights on the #se4 channel at Gamesnet IRC are really starting to pick up. FYI next wednesday "your's truly" will be the 'Guest Speakers'. If you can't make it there next wednesday, or if you just want to get a head start, Tesco has created a new thread where you can ask me questions in advance,.. Just Go Here
This guy named Clark is still writing chapter after chapter of a great story, drop by the The Trillian Empire thread and read the adventure. Clark is evidently a very good writer, but I have just one question,.. why doesn't he have an Avatar?
Well, that's it for this weeks Mini-Lurk-Report. I hope you like it.
Have a Great Weekend, and Cheers!
