Re: Turn 27
Well, nobody wrote about subbing, but fortunately it seems like I will be able to get my turns in for the next week after all. I may still need a sub around Jan 5-10 though, and I should warn you diplomacy will be a little slow while Apep is sunning himself in warmer climes.

If things go as planned, I will be driving to my new home in Virginia from Jan 5-10 myself. I doubt I will be able to do much hosting during this time.
Unfortunately, though, with Washington beauracracy being the way it is, I am expecing a delay in these dates.

Re: Turn 27
The diatribe involving Proposition 19 is truly entertaining. Surprisingly (or maybe not so, considering how things are heating up), already more than half of voting Wyrms have had something to say.

Oh the drama! This stuff is exactly why I signed up. FUN!
P.S. Just want everyone to know that everything I write on the wiki will be in-character, as Grundle, so please don't take anything personally. It's just a game.

The Wyrm Suli-Krom speaks:
Unfortunately Proposition 18, which allows the first War in Orania between Wyrms, has passed. Let the hostilities begin.

Re: Turn 27
Actually, it did not officially pass. Note that when the 48 hour time limit expired, there were only 6 votes recorded:
Yes:
Ermor
Jontunheim
No:
Vanheim
Pangaea
T'ien Ch'i
Mictlan
Thus, according to the rules, the proposition failed by a 4 to 2 vote.
HOWEVER, after a one day voting extension, it passed easily by a final tally of 8-3 in favor, indicating a generally positive opinion of the council.
This dilemma makes it clear that we need to update the voting rules by coming up with some kind of quorum rule needed as brought up by Suli-Krom in the pre-prosition discussion on the COW site.
In particular, by putting up a vote at 1 AM on Christmas morning, it did make it hard for busy (and drunk) wryms to read the proposal and vote with a clear head.

Heh. Made it very difficult for some such wyrms to even understand the proposal, who did what to whom and who got eaten.

Chief Advisor Morkilus speaks:
I may have been out of line delaring the proposition "passed", though I thought it was concensus that the voting period was extended. Do we need to bring the Chief Justice in on this?
The Wyrm Suli-Krom speaks:
We will soon bring the automatic quorum requirement bill to vote.

Re: Turn 27
Propositions 20 and 21 attempt to rectify the mess that Proposition 19 has become.
