Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
I found D3 through some guy pimping it on the Mount & Blade forums. Have had it for a few days now. Been lurking, finding the answers to most of my questions via the forum search. Eventually I found something I couldn't do that for, so I registered to make a help topic. Now I'm pissing about trying to locate the Make New Topic button and failing. ****sux
I found it, as you probably notice.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hi,
I'm from Serbia and I'm 17 years old.
I've been around here for about 3 months now but never really payed any notice to this thread until now.
So, the reason I'm writing this is because it seems that I'm the youngest here, am I!?

I doubt that you are the youngest Executor, but belated welcome to you anyway!

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hi, I'm 24 from Dallas, Texas. United States.
I saw this game advertised via the Stardock Central utility that came with my copy of Galactic Civilizations 2. After several months of playing nothing but my Xbox 360 I started looking around for PC games, and I remembered the advertisement for this one. Checked out the demo and I was immediately hooked.
Now I'm deeply entranced and virtually in love with the EA Agartha empire (blind cave salamanders as a race? Amazing). A game has not held my attention like this one for a long time.
Of course, the main downside is my roommates desire for me to pick up Battlefield Bad Company.....something that will not happen until I can break the hypnotic clutches of this game....

Good to have you here Itchykobu! I like your attitude.
Agartha are defnitely one of the easier races to fall in love with. They're unique and thematically very deep.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hi all. I just discovered Dominions 3 via a few gamer friends who were telling me about their PBEM game. I'm looking forward to finding a newbie game and trying out the multiplayer aspect of the game.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Howdy guys, I'm a dominions noob who has given the demo quite a few runthroughs, and I've pretty much established to myself that dominions is the final word of the genre. So my copy is en route now, looking forward to playing with and most likely losing to you all!

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hey!
I'm from California and got absolutely blown away by the depth in the demo (not to mention hopelessly addicted to the fluff).
Now that I have the full version I just need to find some people to kick my butt in multi, and figured this was the place to come.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Welcome!
The forum organizes longer games, and there's also an IRC channel for quick games. Long games are one turn/few days, usually, and can take several hours per turn for diplomacy, trading, planning and actually playing the turn.
Blitz games played on the IRC channel are played with few nations on small-ish maps, and are usually over in hours. Blitz games are, by necessity, more competitive. Joining a newbie game or taking over someone who has to leave for a time or permanently is a great way to learn. If you want to join a full game, I suggest asking some question in the IRC channel. Few blitz games will teach how to design a pretender that will support your nation instead of shooting it in the leg.
FAQ is a good place to start.
