Re: Byblical Mod Discussion (\"Moved\" from Dom3 for
Amos, while what you wrote is interesting, it isn't too relevant, because your description is of angels as percieved by christianity, not Judaism, which is what we are aiming for.
For example, "Michael is the angel who wages war against the forces of Satan.", in the bible satan is almost never mentioned, and even when he is, he is merely an angel under the service of god. (And that's just where the word is mentioned in relation to that person. Most often "Satan" is just a word for "enemy")
In Jobe, for example, his job is to find sinners and go to god to tell on them. (which is why Jobe suffers so much, satan decided that Jobe could be guilty and got god to test his faith with punishments).
And there's definitely none of that "Gabriel is the angel who announces the coming birth of John the Baptist. Gabriel is best known for announcing the coming birth of Jesus. Gabriel appears to Mary and gives her tidings that she will become pregnant with a child who will be named Jesus." Jesus stuff in the bible
AFAIK, what I brought is the way angels are regared in Kabballah/Zohar. (Though obviously I haven't read the relevant books, and therefore can't know for sure)

Re: Byblical Mod Discussion (\"Moved\" from Dom3 for
I got you the info. I cant tell you what to do with it, its your mod. But Judaic mysticism advanced with Christian, feeding of each other, so its impossible to differentiate. Most of the angelic mithology comes from Judaic mysticism of Middle Ages not Christian one. Christian theologians simply adapted Judaic angels to Christianity.
Since your mod is about Tanah's Hebrews, there is no sources dealing directly with angels in that time period.

Re: Byblical Mod Discussion (\"Moved\" from Dom3 for
Which is why I was hesitant about the angels in the first place.
So... Any progress reports, Nerfix?

No.
But you or somebody else could help me by fishing out the ID numbers for Arco's unique units and commanders. I've been busy with work & Java lately and htis would help me more than a bit.

Re: Byblical Mod Discussion (\"Moved\" from Dom3 for
Aren't you going to use #clearrec and #clearcom, then #addunit and #addcom? Or do you mean the unique units recruitable from the starting sites?

No Arco, no use for Arco units.

Re: Byblical Mod Discussion (\"Moved\" from Dom3 for
If you could mod the sprites for blood slaves just for this nation into bulls or rams or something, you'd have a good case for giving the Levites B1.

Re: Byblical Mod Discussion (\"Moved\" from Dom3 for
I dont think (not certain) thats possible, blood slaves are blood slaves and changing them does it for everyone.
