Re: Carribean mod
Thanks, Kana.
I think I'm sufficiently sober enough now to continue. So I'll go and push onwards with that preliminary components file and upload it for appraisals once it's done. Sorry about the delay.

Re: Carribean mod
*BUMP*
Would you also like Weights/Volume on Ammunition?
Would you like Costs for all of the above...?
Of course all is subjective...for use in comparison. How this translates to SE4...is...well...?????
Next a small list of Improved Smoothebore and Rifled Muzzle Loading cannons...
Also...there is a Salty Dog shipset on PBW.
Torpedos and Naval Mines where used in the mid to late 19th Century.

Re: Carribean mod
Those would be great, Kana, thanks!
I just downloaded the saltydogs shipset, it will need some work to get it looking like real naval ships, but it's definiteley a great start to modify from.
I should have everything bar weapons done when I get home from work tonight.

Re: Carribean mod
I'm going to send you a txt file. Its much easier than trying to post it on the thread. It has ammo weights, and advanced rifled guns. Also I even did some personal weapons. Included is a list of stuff I think you need to consider for the mod if it hasn't already been discussed or thought of...well file is in the mail so to speak.

I guess this Mod and it's ideas died on the vine, or sank to Davey Jones's Locker....

Perhaps you could continue it in Goatform's absense?

Re: Carribean mod
After my, er, real-life battle with... well, real-life, and after re-reading this thread, I've found that I'm still highly interested in the idea, and am going to pick up where I left off with it. I lost all my original stuff, but I'll get back to where I was and then keep people updated, provided there's still interest? I'll also still require help, especially with graphical changes, as I have the artistic skills of a barnacle.

For the time period, they do not use anything close to resembling mines. I can not think of anything period they could represent off the top of my head.

Don't know if this has been said before as I haven't read all of the posts here, but you COULD create Mines as being barrels of gunpowder. You could say that there were rowing boats among the "mines" with crewmen armed with crossbows with flame arrows, shooting those in the barrels to detonate them. OK, it's not historically accurate, but they COULD have done it with the technology at the time
edit: Removed a HTML-looking part of text from the quote.....
