Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
By the way, we don't actually sacrifice new people to our pagan gods if they bring themselves to our attention--well, atleast not very often...not anymore...except on Wednesdays. And mostly we just sacrifice them to Gandalf, which I understand involves drinking tea. So please feel free to join in conversations, as well as the Multi-Player games and posts your thoughts, questions, and conversation in the rest of the Forum threads.
And we're pretty used to English as a second language, honestly, so don't worry about that. As often as not, it's us English-speakers who feel left out, so it's pretty fair.
I'm always happy to welcome new people to the Forums, but if you don't participate in the discussions, it kind of defeats the purpose so don't be shy! Be polite and respectful-atleast to me-but don't be afraid to jump in!

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hello everyone! I am new to Dominions 3. I own Dominions 2, however I played single player. I am looking to learn Dominions 3 and join the multiplayer community as well this time around. I started this genre with Master of Magic and Master of Orion, to be followed up with Galactic Civilizations, then on to Dominions 2. I hope I can make some good friends and learn alot in the process. I am also interested in the modding aspect of this game as well. It is a pleasure to meet all of you!

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Patrik, from Sweden.
24 years old, currently studying to become a journalist.
Have played the Dominions series since the time it was called Conquest of Elysium and would fit on a floppy disk. Enjoy all races but usually keep it real with MA Arcoscephale in PBEM sessions. Included below is a link to a list of favourite games for anyone interested:
http://boards.ign.com/Message.aspx?t...49469&brd=7203
Am currently frying my brain with Dawn of war: Soulstorm. Occasionally I also leave my computer for the real world, but usually return before too long. It's scary out there.
Recommend reading "Brave new World" by Aldous Huxley, the "Sandman" series by Neil Gaiman, and "The Dwarf" by Pär Lagerkvist (Anyone interested in making an Italian Rennaissance-themed Mod?).
Good fortune everyone
PJ

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
"Sandman", I'm already reading
Welcome fluff! Here's a nice place to hide from the scary world! (Well, you won't find ground-breaking news for your career in journalism though)

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
fluff995: I've actually considered a mod based on early Venice, but I've currently got all the plates spinning that I can handle. If you'd like to do such a mod yourself, however, I'd be happy to help with some ideas.

Good Smeelbo always helps!
I have been variously a teacher, programmer, and sales manager, but currently I am taking care of my ailing mother. I like to game, and Dominions 3 was recommended to by Frank Trollman, Ty Burman, and Brian Leonard, whom I hope to play with. I've downloaded the demo, and will try that after I get a decent sized monitor for my Fujitsu Lifebook u810, which is what I am using.
Looks like a very deep game with a strong community.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Ive actaully owned Dominions 3 for about a year now, but due to various other obligations, have been unable to play it up until a few weeks ago. After playing a few games with some friends, Im hooked.
Long time reader of fantasy, as well as Roleplaying games, and roleplaying Video games. Im also a huge turn based strategy nut. So, Dominions seems like the natural choice, right?
Ive also been tinkering around with the modding system, as Ive some ideas I would like to implement, and thats actually why I decided to sign up here, as I was hoping I could absorb some knowledge from more knowledgeable people...
So, that said, I hope to get to know some of you, and hope I can contribute to the greater discussion
