Re: Allegiances 2 (Large Team-Based Game, RECRUITI
And, there we have it. It's up to the two teammates to decide which nation they will play. Once you decide, post the result here. If you have the option of a water nation, post ASAP, as that will effect Dr. P's map making task.
Also, should we make a new rule that Baalz can't play Mictlan?

Re: Allegiances 2 (Large Team-Based Game, RECRUITI
Interesting. For the the two teams that have choices for the pair - what is the timing for those to be announced/determined? I assume it will be simultaneous?
Edit: cause otherwise Team 2 will just wait for Team 6 to declare what nations they are playing before deciding

More questions:
How big is the map going to be? and
Can we get a commitment to the proportion of water provinces per water nation beforeplease?

Re: Allegiances 2 (Large Team-Based Game, RECRUITI
That's a good point, Velusion. Why don't we just have everyone PM me their nation choices, and I will post them all at once on the first page. Dr. P., I will give you a heads up, once I know if we need water provinces.
Map wise, Dr. P. can best answer, but I think last time we had 15-20 provinces per NATION? I'm sure we can have a commitment to a certain number of water provinces, once we know if we even need them.

Re: Allegiances 2 (Large Team-Based Game, RECRUITI
I was planning on (15-20)*14 ~= 250 provinces.
# of water nations, # of water provinces
0 - 1, 10
2, 25
3, 40

Re: Allegiances 2 (Large Team-Based Game, RECRUITI
How about 17 land provinces/land player and 15 water provinces/water nation.
(I just picked some fair numbers to get this rolling). Also how will the nations be placed on the map ? adjacent I imagine, but will the map be wraparound ? And in brief how will it look ?

Well see I want a commitment to water provinces before we decide on what nations to play . I'd hate for us to pick an all water team and there be something like 10 water provinces per water nation...

Re: Allegiances 2 (Large Team-Based Game, RECRUITI
Well, I was going to use the built in RMG to make a conventional flat map and arrange the start locations either in a ring on the outside or on pie slices, whichever was easier to fit, and depending on whether we have water nations or not.
I think that's too much water - if you allow the water nations to be near-average size without leaving the water, they are too powerful, imo.
OTOH, the more water players you have, the more water provinces/player you should have.

That would be fine. I don't have a burning desire to play any of the four nations assigned so once I'm presented with final numbers on the water provinces I'll give my opinion to Thrawn as to which I think is the better deal and let him make the final choice.
