Re: hydrogen fuel cell car
It is interesting to note that, whatever the science behind the "abolish-the-SUV-and-the-rest-of-mankind" movement, the facts don't seem to bother its loudest supporters. Take the actress who's putting out the latest "SUVs are evil" commercials. She's having to do quite a bit of backtracking in order to reconcile her viewpoint with the fact that she drives...an SUV.

Yes, it is true that fanatical people of all types ignore facts that don't fit with their message.

Re: hydrogen fuel cell car
Remember, about a year ago, there was all this excitement about a new scooter invention called "IT" or "Ginger" or something like that? It was supposed to revolutionize transportation, because many people would be able to switch to using these low-cost, low-pollution scooters instead of cars, and it will be efficient and environmentally friendly and so on. Have you heard anything about that recently?

Re: hydrogen fuel cell car
Ironically, some California towns are considering banning Segways as a safety hazard to other pedestrians.

Re: hydrogen fuel cell car
"It travels up to 17 mph on all surfaces, including up hills, and stops when its rider leans back. The Segway is not equipped with brakes."
Gah, stupid news article. If it doesn't have brakes its because it doesn't need them. I doubt it doesn't, though.
This is kind of like noting a car doesn't have wings.

Especially if all car become hydrogen cell powered and emit a lot of H2O !
I too think Seque is very hazardus for both riders and unlucky pedestrians.

There is a difference between stopping the motors when you lean back and brakes.
