His "species" is human, and they only live long by virtue of the restorative efforts of the goa'uld symbiotes they carry. Teal'c and other jaffa have said as much many times..

He is a Jaffa, as you stated, they are a different species from humans in that they are enhanced humans breed for thousands of years to be soldier for the goa'uld and to carry their young. After thousands of years of this, they have evolved. The show deals with this over the course of many episodes over years.

There was some mention of the Jaffa being "engineered" by the Goa'uld. Increased strength, increased endurance, ability to carry larval Goa'uld, and so who knows what else?
Don't get the skunk-stripe on Teal'c, though....

And along with that was mention that much of it was enhanced further by having a larval goa'uld inside (including lifespan).
