Re: New semi-newbie game!
Yeah please delay. I'm still in transit under the assumption that we were delaying until at least after the 4th. The very soonest I could do my turn would be later tonight if I'm lucky.

Re: New semi-newbie game!
IH - right now its set for 20:50 GMT on Saturday July 5th. God only knows what time that translates into on the west coast but I'll keep an eye on it and add more time as needed.

Re: New semi-newbie game!
OK! Much apologies about the extended delays, guys. With the forums down I was crippled while on the road. I got home on a flight this evening and was able to squeeze the turn in. Here we go!

A Period of Mourning
The people of Mictlan are weeping bitter tears this month at the loss of Buer, Friend of Mictlan. He bravely chose to stay behind and defend the fortress of Utgard against the hordes of Tien Chi and sacrifice himself in order to destroy them. Sadly, his mind was shattered by the blind luck of a TC sorceror and he turned on his own bodyguard. Our only hope is to face him again in battle, and to kill him, freeing him from the clutches of the most hated Tien Chi!

Re: A Period of Mourning
Buer has been spirited away to a distant, nameless ministry building and incorporated into the bureaucracy. He is now known as the Buer, Minister of Rural Economic Development (not quite as impressive as Buer, Lord of Hell, but in TC we don't like superstars).
Sansan, if you still read these boards know that Utgard has been freed from the horrors of Mictlanese rule. Your ample supply of giant virgins are intact and will likely remain so for the rest of their lives - unless of course they like tartarians.

I do still read and enjoy the thread. The giantess maidens are looking forward to meeting "those Tartarian boys" they've heard so much about. They are not too fussy about nuances like their men being living/dead or undead, only that they leave the toilet seat down.

PS DC- Are you still happy with the Tarts given their mood swings brought on by the latest patch?

Re: A Period of Mourning
They seem to go beserk almost every other turn and especially when I need them. So in the heat of battle they can be a liability if you are counting on them for something specific - like a particular battlefield enchantment. But I am learning to adapt: the key is not to make them the cornerstone of your strategy. If they show up for battle, great, but you cannot expect they will.
Overall, I quite like the change though I suffered most from it in this game, I think.

Re: Intermission
Something very strange happened this turn...
I first get this mysterious message:
OK, so Antrax apparently was taking a short holiday in beautiful Drangiana.
BUT, he actually ends up in Silver Fangs, along with some serious Mictlanese firepower, as you can see:

Sadly, Antrax was ill-equipped for going toe-to-toe with the Lord of Corruption, and was swiftly returned to the presumably fiery depths of wherever exactly he's from.
Is this some sort of advanced Mictlan Jiu-Jitsu? Or perhaps a code malfunction???
Regardless, before he was so mercilessly slain, he was heard saying, "Pangaea has such an insurmountable gem income that I will return shortlyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy........{dead}"

Re: Intermission
Hmm. I am not aware of any spell that can do that...
Bug or wily secret veteran move -
Ironhawk?

Re: Intermission
Hahahah, glad to see I've thrown you into confusion. However I'm surprised that you are surprised, Cleveland. After all I gave you a full turn's warning that I was going to do it. Perhaps in the future you will lend my words more credibility?
