Not at all, the Xorlians are merely a warmonger species that declared war on three or four of their neighbours. Ruatha, I believe you can forget about this Empire if nobody wants to take it in the following days, as I don't expect the Xorlians to survive much longer, even if I am the only one involved in offensive operations. And then, diplomacy will definitively be needed. So only take over the Xorlians if you are really up to the challenge, and a good diplomat.
Your religious race was far from being doomed UE, it is currently 13th, but has a decent strength. The Free Democratic Socialist Republic of Somewhere is much stronger than my old NethernoS for instance. Not to mention the talisman, but I should not speak of such a device lest Ruatha overhears. *Smirks* Perhaps the discovery of the Nyxian Chaos decided Ruatha not to attack the Republic? Who knows?
(Incidentally, I have been late as for the promised story Ruatha, with regards to the current... erh... relationships between us. Sorry, I had something like a writer's block. *Grumbles*)

Re: PBW server is back up.
Hi, (Sorry to HiJack the thread)
I hope to have a shell of a autoturn application up and running tonight, so then the turn might run on time on sunday instead of being delayed half a day until I get home, we'll see...
(Talisman, Hmm, what does he mean??? )
EDIT:
Nah, I got it to run the turn at the deadline, zip it and move it to the gamefile directory.
but i haven't solved the mail allplayers thing yet, so I'll do the turn Manually when I get home!

So it autoexecutes the turn, but just does not mail the results - this means we can download the turn from the website? I don't need more...

Re: PBW server is back up.
Well, I guess this is officially the 4th week of unofficially getting the DSL connection done in a week or less.
BTW, Geo, what's the name again? I just want to make sure I warn everyone away that ever asks about them .

Re: PBW server is back up.
Well, depending on when you start counting, it's either 3 weeks and 1 day or 2 weeks and 4 days. Unfortunatly the ISP doesn't actually do the hookup, they have to contact the phone company to get it done. So it's actually the phone company holding us up at this point. The one week figure was simply what the phone company had been running at recently. Obviously they must have gotten backed up and are not running that fast anymore.
If I could hook it up myself I would.

I figured as much .
(I have all these ships and fleets that have been training in our game now for weeks and weeks of "real" time...by now, they must be up to 40% x 40% each.... )

Re: PBW server is back up.
Well, the Last turn email I got was on the evening of the 22nd. I figure PBW was disconnected sometime on the 23rd. That's when I'm counting from.
So, as of right now, that is 22 days. .... of agony!
Well, not so bad really. I finished a couple solo games but couldn't get the interest to start another... so I started a game of Civ II and I'm having a whale of a time! I haven't played it in so long its almost as much fun as the first time I played it.
