I'm all for playing with MoD. I can't imagine it's much more surprizing than having a red dragon show up on your doorstep on turn two.

chrispedersen's Hinnom started three provinces from my Vanheim in our last game.

Turn 2 has red dragon in province next to my cap. (!)

Not the most fun game I've played in, but still pretty darn fun. I survived until about turn 30 or so...

If it happens like that, at least you know you're in for a hot game with lots of action right away. So, you won't hear me complaining if it's a tight map with lots of close neighbors. I'm for all war all the time anyway. What is diplomacy? Diplomacy is the art of saying "nice doggie" until you can find a big stick.

Anyway, chris squished me pretty good in the Brave New World game. I will repeat the quote I used because I like it so much:
