Re: Epic Battles(PBEM) - Game on!
I am going to add 48 hours to see if we can find a sub. I may post for the Mictlan Sub myself and add a little more color to see if we can get someone sooner.

No luck so far. Any thoughts? Also, I wouldn't mind slowing hosting down to 72 hours...

I'm fine with 72 hours.
You could let Mictlan stale while I gobble up its territories.... Just kidding, of course. No, I don't what to say about the situation. I'm content to wait until we find a sub.
The position for which I am subbing isn't strong, but am still finding it to be a good experience. To any fellow noob reading this: I would recommend that you go ahead and give Mictlan a try. You might not win, but it is still fun and you will likely learn some things along the way.

I have no objection to 72 hours. The bad news is: I'm going on vacation next week and I had planned on starting to look for a sub today and going AI if I didn't find one before I leave on Saturday.

Re: Epic Battles(PBEM) - Game on!
Hmm...do we want to call this game? From my point of view it was about to get fun, but since we haven't even found a sub for Mict, it seems we are about to potentially have 2 powers go AI, which radically alters the dynamics of the game. Maybe we should vote or get someone to look at the turn files and pick a winner? Or play on with 2 AIs...ugh...or continue to look for subs?

Re: Epic Battles(PBEM) - Game on!
Well, I'll only be gone for a week, so if we don't find subs and you don't want me to go AI, you could pause the game and I'd come back then.
OTOH, I don't know how long I'll be able to resist to the forces currently arrayed against me...

Re: Epic Battles(PBEM) - Game on!
Excellent news: Shogi has volunteered to step in for Mictlan - everyone give a warm welcome to the newest entrant into our bloody world! We will also move to 72 hours. As for Pyth, lets see how things go - I'd rather not see you go AI and it might make sense to just wait for you to get back since Shogi will need time to look over the turn and get caught up.
Anyway, since we have had some turn over here are the 6 nations and their leaders:
Mictlan:
shogi
Arcos:
analytic_kernel
Pythium:
jmb
Abysia:
Valerius
Ermor:
NKIcan

Welcome to the game Shogi!
I'm also fine with waiting for jmb to return in order to avoid Pythium going AI.

Welcome, Shogi.
I would also be fine with waiting for jmb to return. With 72-hour hosting, we would only be missing about 2 turns....
