Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Slynky, make the background color transparent. That will make it blend in on every post.

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Fyron, Slynky's avatar has too many semi transparent pixels caused by the 'anti-aliasing' so setting the green background color to transparent doesn't look good. still too many 'dark' color pixels floating around. (I know I tried!)
I would suggest that the simple solution would be to make a new Version and place it on a black background or some kind of dark gradiant.
I used another option with the 'polished' avatar I did for Slynky I kept close to the existing colors and thought it turned out ok, but I'm sure Slynky has the original font/artwork and could do just as good a job.
nuf said! Cheers!
Edit: perhaps just a color change?...

That's exactly the reason I decided to frame all my avatars, and I don't use transparencies!

See what I mean? (I had to reduce your avatar by 10% to fit into the frame, but I think it still looks good) btw, your avatar pic reminds me of Quake and the Rebel Alliance in Star Wars! I guess your icon represents the initials C.E. Am I right?
Cheers!

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Of course you do realize that "OT:" could also stand for "On-Topic" as well "Off-Topic" and therefore could lead to utter confusion!
..nudge, nudge, wink, wink, know what I mean?

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Note: I Just added "OT:" to the beginning of my thread to make sure I don't grate on any rules and end up in a prison for 'the illegal namming of threads.'
Cheers!

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
*There is a loud banging. Suddenly, the thread police kick down the door, smash up the furniture and bop DG on the head with a truncheon before realising that he has actually got an OT prefix. They apologise, smash up some more furnitur and then quietly leave before he wakes up.
Fortunately, all the fine and precious avatars are undamaged.

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Hey, David, do you by any chance have time to make a little "Explorer" badge/medal type thingy?
Half the width of an avatar, and just as tall.
If you're too busy, that's OK too, I'll find or make some sort of placeholder. Maybe I'll try some cut and paste on the other things you made for PBC already.

Who would make it stand for that? That makes no sense! There would be no reason to specify a post as being on-topic. They are assumed to be unless specified otherwise.
