Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Master Belisarius, sorry I missunderstood your meaning. Pencil and paper,.. hmmm it's such a primitive concept for artwork. Do people still do that sort of thing? I'm nowhere as good on paper as I am at pushing pixels!
Slynky, a Tablet? What a scary thought. If I started drawing on tablets, I might succumb to delusions of grandure, after all isn't that what 'gods' do?
All I use is a good optical mouse and my favorite paint program. (ArtGem!)
Cheers!

I knew I forgot to say something! Yes I like the Batmobile, it's very well done. (Only one thing strange about it, I always thought the Bat on the side of the door was yellow! I could be wrong though, it's been decades since I've see an episode of Batman!)
..all I can say about job hunting is that it really helps to have a 'virtual portfolio' of some kind on the net. In my case I spent lots of time creating RPG Tiles for use in roguelike games and made them available for free over the net. That's where Aaron saw my work and we ended up working togeather on his Dungeon Odyssey!
Cheers!

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Mr. Gervais, you seem to know a lot about photo-editting, I need some different textures and such for a ship set I'm working on in DogaL3, go to my topic to see more of what it's about, but here is a "small" peek,
I want a different pattern for the wings of my creature, but I'm not sure where to get one, do you know of any good free image archives I can go to? Specifically I want something more butterfly like but different enough to be considered "alien"(desktop backgrounds seem to work but I can't find the right fit). The "placeholder" one I put in was a background that came with windows XP so I'm not sure If I could use it if I wanted to.(don't want to tick Bill Gates ) I thought I saw a link to an image archive somewhere in this topic but I can't find it. If you can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it alot.

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
I posted this response in your shipset thread, but I'm reposting it here in case you haven't been there to see it!...

About all I can suggest is that you do a search for "textures" here...
Altavista Image Search
I hope you find something that will fit!

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
I'm glad the link helped.
OT:Hey, I just had a thought, if the Cantina shuts down maybe we can move in here! I could rename the thread to something like..
The New Avatar Emporium, Oak Bar and Grill Joint!
It's just a thought! LoL
Cheers!

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Thanks again for the transition effect ! I have found an old avatar on my HD that could be adopted by a star wars fan who likes? It just needs to be slightly reduced in size.
Animated it is!

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Psycho, fyi I already did a Yoda avatar, #326 in my emporium. It looks like this...
Oh, and your 'animated' yoda is very subtle. Hardly worth being animated. I do/did like the pic though, thanks.
Have a Great Day, Cheers!
