Re: Mara - EA game for newish players - recruiting
I'm off to college soon, so that isn't too likely. Also, at this point in the game, turns can start to take a bit longer than 10 or so minutes...

Heh. You're joking, right?
You defeated *one* of my armies--which was besieging your castle--by throwing everything you had at me, including your SC mega-magic Pretender. And lost around half your army in the process. Hardly a 'smackdown'.
I have a second army already on the way, and a third ready to head out should it be needed.
PDT. Pretty Durned Tough?
Heh. I must admit, I'm getty Pretty Durned Tired. I've done nothing but war since about Turn 8 or so--and in SP I'm usually a builder-type. I'd love to be able to spend even a few turns, relax, sit back and turtle up.
But nooooooo, Marverni and then Helheim had to go and attack me... ; )

No, it pretty much was a smackdown. The only troops I lost were my disposable summons that I bring back each round. So, come on back down for a little more smackdown sandwich.

Re: Mara - T\'ien Ch\'i
Just a heads up for everyone, things are going to be pretty hectic the next few days. I'll be getting my turns in, but any PMs may take a bit to get responses.

Re: Mara - T\'ien Ch\'i
Heads up, I may be getting a sub for this, as I will be incredibly busy at college.

Hey Helheim, a little advice:
Next time, be a little less predictable. ; )

Re: Mara - T\'ien Ch\'i
Oh, and win or lose, I'd just like to say--unlike Chinchilla, this game has been an absolute *blast* so far. And my writeup is ready to post when this is all over; so far, it's got 3 parts, and I'm just starting on Part 4...: )
