Re: LA Game - World of Symmetry 8/10 left
I'm going to need another extension. I should be able to get it done tonight, but that depends on how late I'm stuck here.
There doesn't seem to be any end in sight. I'm going to start looking for a sub. Even with extensions I don't have the time or brain-power left to do a good job. I've been basically reactive these last couple weeks, not able to do any real planning.
It's a shame, because this has been a good game and looks like it's shaping up to be a good endgame, but I just can't keep up with it.

Re: LA Game - World of Symmetry 8/10 left
I will add 24 hours to the clock for now.
Are you sure about the sub? We can add more time to the clock until you sort your RL stuff out if you're having problems.
I'd rather not lose you at this point, or any point for that matter.
We've entered the late stage of the game and a sub would unlikely perform as well as you would/have with Patala (subbing at this point can be rather hard).
Also, apologies for me being a paranoid admin, Arnob, Atlantis, are you still here with us?

Re: LA Game - World of Symmetry 8/10 left
Paranoid admin is a good thing. This game has had less stales than any I've been in.
It wouldn't be hard to do better than I've been doing the last few turns. Everything's been pretty much running on autopilot, but the things I've been overlooking are starting to add up. Not starting gem carriers on their way in time, just forging a bunch of standard gear instead of figuring out what I'm really going to need, etc, etc
I'm not going to just disappear. Hopefully I can get someone with some experience and I can give him an info dump on what's been going on.
I've been going back and forth on this all weekend, but the game has just become one more source of stress that I really don't need. And I don't know how long work's going to be ridiculous. There's another big project coming up after this one.

Re: LA Game - World of Symmetry 8/10 left
Yes, this game has had but a few stales which is remarkable, and everybody seems determined to fight to the bitter end. On that part this is probably my favorite game so far.
Thanks for the heads up and not just disappearing, not that that can be helped sometimes when RL interferes.
Please let me know if you need help looking for a sub, also if you need more time to do the current turn. After the current turn I will delay the game until a suitable replacement is found for you.
Sorry to see you go, it's been a great game so far, and I've personally enjoyed watching all your battles with Gath.

And I wound up working much later than I'd hoped again and just passed out when I got home.
Another extension please.

Re: LA Game - World of Symmetry 8/10 left
I've put another 24 hours up. Atlantis in nowhere to be found. He hasn't been active for a while on the forums and he's not responding to the admin email I've sent his either. We may need a sub for him as well.

Re: LA Game - World of Symmetry 8/10 left
thejeff, are you able to submit your turn?
I've added an additional 24 hours, yet again. Seeing how Atlantis is nowhere to be found I'll put up an add for a sub tomorrow rather than have Atlantis stale for the second time.

Re: LA Game - World of Symmetry 8/10 left
So, what are we going to do with 3 stales?

Re: LA Game - World of Symmetry 8/10 left
Luckily I managed to get home exactly 1 minute too late to postpone the hosting again...
I don't mind the stales personally, but in any case I certainly wouldn't recommend a rollback either. The real question is what are we going to do with Patala and Atlantis?
The sub threads have been up for a few days with no takers yet, somehow I doubt that's gonna change sadly. So, if anyone has any bright idea I'd like to hear them? Just setting them AI seems game breaking to me.
