captain in charge of platoon

In my British Long campaign some of my platoon CO are ranked Captain. This usually happen after the original platoon CO squad got wiped out. As far as I know platoon are usually commanded by a lieutenant so I am wondering if this is a bug.

Noting out of the ordinary whatsoever with SP.

As you gain experience, you also get promoted.

Game gives not a fig if a company formation is commanded by a second LT and platoons by Colonels or snipers are generals. (Except in the initial purchase of the formation).
