Starting hot seat/lan and than move pbemail ?

Hi all,

I want to start with asome frined of my towm a MP game ... the idea is to play it as EMAIL game ... but we want to start it in a mixed hot seta/lan mode to speed up the first turn.

we are 10 with 6 laptop ... the idea is to run a server in one of the laptops, use that one and the other 5 as client. since we are 10, we plan to use one of the laptop for more than one player ... is it possible ?

resuming:

initial confihuration:

5 player every one with his laptop/code
5 player playing on the lpatopt with the server (sharing the same code)

final configuration

10 player playing by email from theyr computer every one with his code

...

If that is not possible we can start playing all 10 on my laptop in hot seat mode and than move to email mode ?

Shouldn't be any problems. When players switch to their own computers there might be some confusion. The player with the server must make sure that he doesn't acidentally opens another players turn and replaces it with an empty one.

Start a game of your own (with one of your friends using another computer after two turns or so) and try it out beforehand so that you know how to avoid problems.

We start a 11 player game with 8 laptop ... my laptop was both server and client for me and another guy ... after 13 turns we move in PBEM and all 10 (one died in the 7th turn couse the vampire count found his castle a really nice place to live!) are now able to play!
