Thanks Mose Hansen!
I know Esben Mose Hansen says he will not be reading the forum anymore, but I want to give my full thanks for all the effort that went into his server. I have hosted a few games myself over a LAN, and I know just how difficult it is to do. All the time and effort he went into to create that splendid server was time well spent for the dominions community. I mean, who says Esben can have a real life anyway???? Is that allowed or something? I didn't know...
With the loss of Norfleet and his occasional hosting and now the loss of Esben, I think games are going to be a lot less frequent now. Only Sheap is left as a host for big MP games that I know of.
I was wondering if anyone knows all the lessons learned from Esben that he did to make his server the best Dom server that ever was. Maybe someone can pick it up. Gandalf? Anybody?
So, a hearty thanks Esben Mose Hansen for all your time and effort. Even if you don't read this post, I had to say it anyway!

I add myself to this post.
There both Reverend and Reverend Zombie who owns a server, but none for what I know have a such friendly interface as Mosehansen server (omg I forgot my turn!!!)

Esben Mose Hansen definetly did a great job. He kindof went a different direction with his server software than I was going to go (early on conversations) but in the race to make it really happen he definetly slammed me.
However, if his decision is based on time constrictions then Im not eager to jump in there and fill in. Especially since I havent bothered to learn MySQL or Perl yet. But if anyone has an old computer in the closet they would like to set this up on then I will give them all the support I can. I might host a few games, and continue playing with the idea of a sysadmin Version of a webserver.

and please remember that Esben has said before that he would gladly provide the code for his dominions server if anyone else wanted to set one up. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and all that...
