Balance opinions II
In an effort to delay actually getting to work on a new CB version, here's another poll.

"T'ien Ch'i celestial masters should have 10 in every path"

Re: Balance opinions II
I choose those 3:-
Changes to booster items and/or indy commanders (removed next version in any case).
Recruitable reanimators nerf (Lanka and ME Ermor).
Cost increases to helhirdlings, sacred van cavalry, shadow vestals, and palankasha.
The celestial master thing puzzled me too, so I ignored it totally.

Re: Balance opinions II
I think the magic scale is plenty powerful enough in Dom3, I can't see why you'd want to set it back to Dom2 level. I always feel very powerful with Magic-3, and quite crippled with Drain-3.

Re: Balance opinions II
Two reasons: The scale settings that do almost nothing border on buggy, and a more powerful magic scale makes extreme blessings harder.
As for the celestial master, it was a non-serious option, though I suppose it does serve to see how many people did not read the poll carefully/were not actually familiar with CB.

Re: Balance opinions II
I thought you meant that the celestials should have an extra 10% of getting F/A/W/E/S/D/N/B.
Though I didn't vote for it anyway, so it doesn't really matter what I thought

Re: Balance opinions II
On a poll the wording is very important otherwise people will vote for the wrong thing. Thats why politicians argue over the wording on any referendum poll.

I guess I can see that. But magic-3 giving +3 research sounds insane! I think that would be a major turnoff for me, since I can't imagine ever not taking it - which feels like a loss of choice.

Re: Balance opinions II
I agree, a +3 research bonus is a no brainer
