What difficulty level do most of you play on?
I just recently acquired the talent to play on Normal. I still play on easy sometimes, though. It's good to see that I am actually getting better at the game. However, I doubt I'll ever play on Hard. There's just too many damn planes.

Re: What difficulty level do most of you play on?
I always play on hard level. Haven't messed around with the custom settings too much, since hard gives me just the right kind of challenge. I leave Doppler Off (more annoying than anything else) but I leave pilot errors on.

Croak. Caw. Ribbit. I can hear a pin drop in here. There must be only 15 people who actually own AC3. Or most of them must've pirated it and they're ashamed to post in the forums. Bastards.

Re: What difficulty level do most of you play on?
It just occured to me...does anybody use the pause feature to give orders? I didn't even know you could give orders when paused until Gabe mentioned it here, but I still don't use it. I always forget about it when I'm in the game... :0

Actually, I should have titled the topic: what difficulty level do you play on GABE? Because he's the only one here...*sigh*...wait... what difficulty do you play on STRIDER?

Re: What difficulty level do most of you play on?
Since I am too lazy to create a new topic I will just post this here and hope Joe or whoever reads this. I don't expect Joe to release anything for free - for AC3. Unless there is a bug (but I have yet to find one and I doubt I will). Or unless he wishes to. I am sure the community (I admit that we are damn small) would appreciate it if the suggestions made in the forum made it into the game. Realistically, I don't see that happening. Not for free, anyhow. So, my price is 15 dollars. No more. If you would be so kind as to release a cheap patch or upgrade for previous owners and attach a 15 dollar price tag, then I would return the favor and buy it. So it will come to a grand total of 60 dollars (10 for shipping twice). Sounds fair enough for me. What say the other gentlemen in the forum?

Re: What difficulty level do most of you play on?
I'm pretty sure that Joe doesn't make the decisions when it comes to the marketing of the game. That's up to the Shrapnel Grand Poo-Bahs. Personally, I have to fall back on what other gaming companies do. Aliens Vs. Predator added several multi-player maps and an in-game save function, all in a free game patch. Black Forge is producing another expansion to Icewind Dale and is going to make it free to people who already have the game.
I guess the entire debate will be if any enhancements Joe makes are large enough to be a "New" game or just an expansion. He could include all the things we asked for, and more maps, and call it AC4.0. If so, then he could sell it as a new product.
If shrapnel goes that route, I would hope that they would offer it at a reduced price for former customers. Personally, I still think the original price I paid for this was a little high, so that route would actually kind of tick me off, and I don't think I would pay more than $10 for it.
If he just makes the changes/additions we asked for, then I think that would be more of a patch situation. Look how many things they changed on Space Empires IV...over a thousand, it looks like (from AI, to bugs, to additions) and yet they put it out as a patch. I would appreciate Shrapnel a LOT more if they did that for AC3, and would be more likely to buy more of their products in the future. Just my 2 cents.

Re: What difficulty level do most of you play on?
Actually those decisions are left up to the developer. We give them advise but it is their games afterall.

Re: What difficulty level do most of you play on?
Wow. I stand corrected. Thanks for the clarification, Richard.
So, I guess all the choices are Joe's...
