baseships

I recently ordered se 4 and just have a question about baseships.
In the ad when you quit the demo it advertises that baseships are available in the full Version of the game BUT in basic race styles ive seen everywhere baseships are part of mod's, not the main game.
Do baseships come as part of the mods on the cd or what?

Base ships are 'in' the default game but the image used is the same as the battlestation. There is no 'seperate' image for baseships. There wasn't in SE III either.

Actually, it's the Starbase image.

As I recall, the Last time I checked it was the Battlestation image. I specifically suggested this change to him because it's smaller than the Starbase. The default baseship and battlestation sizes are identical, in fact.

But whatever it is, it's not a dedicated Baseship image.
