Twin Spear is Fixed?

I remember trying to use the Death-Astral twin spear before, and it didn't reanimate the enemies I killed. But I just had a battle where I was just wielding it for the luck, and it was working, turning the enemies I killed into soulless.

Was it fixed recently? Or is it because this time my wielder had undead leadership? Or something else?

That would be a very good reason why it suddenly worked. Both spears only give +50 normal leadership, not undead, AFAIK.
