Stellar Squadron
Anybody listen to John Hawkins podcast at Three Moves Ahead? Wonder what you thought of his upcoming game, Stellar Squadrons?
Podcast is here.
Regards,

Re: Stellar Squadron
"Stellar Squadrons" eh? Looking forward to listening to the podcast - don't have a headset here at work - wonder how the game is gonna compare to stuff like Star Fleet Command, Star Fury, Begin, and of course THANCS? (I am assuming from the title that it is a tactical space combat game, correct?)

Re: Stellar Squadron
It sounds very interesting. I like the concept of communication delays and having ships out there in space away from the shipyards. Also when he spoke about trying to capture the old XCom squad development feelings for the fleet; really rang a bell. I remember there use to be a tactical space game on the C64 that I played a lot. It allowed you to develop your space ships by placing engines and weapons and you would match them up against other ships. I think it was called Cosmic Balance or something like that.

Re: Stellar Squadron
To me it definitely sounds like a larger scale than THANCS. Managing a campaign rather than a battle, and commanding ships rather than individual components.
Should be interesting.

I very much hope so!
Otherwise, how should I get to beta test it?
And it sounds too cool to pass that up !
