You get experience for destroying enemy ships and colonies, too, though I never checked how much.

Wouldn't it be nice if you got some extra racial points to spend at game start with an experienced race? Even a 10-1 conVersion of racial experience to racial points would be good.

Ok, here's what I've found.

1. You get 1 EXP for building a level 1 Facility.

2. You get (ship hull size / 10) EXPs for building a ship. Example ES hull = 150 tons, you build one you get 15 EXPS. You can also cheat build with the cntr-fast and still get your EXPs.

3. You get nada for any research that I can see, but I only tested a few things.

4. You get 100 EXPs for colonizing a planet. It doesn't seem to matter what size. You get the same EXPs.

Now, if someone with way more time on their hands then I have right now wants to jackup their race experience and find out what benefits accrue, if any, you now know how. The top EXP level is 500 MILLION I think.

It would be fun, no doubt about it, and furthermore as competitive players its jsut another edge to get on the others so it wouldnt' work in a multi game as ppl woudl just max out at 500 mil and then theywoudl all be the same (at least the hardcore ones who really wanted to win at all costs, and the super ancient RP guys, the races not hte players neccesarily)

there's my $.02 take it or take part of it, leaving only $.01 or just laugh at the stupid boy

Ya, it's a nice idea except for the abuse aspect, which rewards players for wasting a bunch of hours weeny-ing up their experience in "fake" games just to get a bonus.

Who needs a bunch of hours? Crank down the cost of everything, crankk up production, and let the AI run loose for a while. Instant ancient empire.

Make Escorts have a hull size of 50000 kilotons (or whatever the highest is that you can get a way with), 100% maintanence reduction, and require no support components. Start a game with 10 planets and one Neutral AI race, and repeat build an empty escort on each of them. Turn off all log and notification Messages, and then leave a book on the f12 key.

max size is 9999k, and remember to change the 200 ship limit or else each of your ten planets will make 20 ships and stop there heheh.

Umm... actually, the max ship size is somewhere between 20000 and 50000. I just don't feel like checking it right now.

game kept giving me an error when i set it to above 9999, and i finally found out whats between ancient and moderate... Old... heheh
