assassination spells and stealty commanders/armies
My question is how does the various assasination spells work wrt stealthy commanders and armies.
For example would earth attack or seeking arrow target a stealty enemy commander in a given province?
Would artillery spells target stealthy commanders and armies?
I can assume those question were asked before, but I wasn't able to find such a discussion, so sorry if I repeat a previous subject.

Re: assassination spells and stealty commanders/armies
Basically, nothing can target a stealthed commander. This is especially infuriating, as commanders get to hide before even the magic phase. I.e. a stealth team "uncloaks" and takes a province. That same turn it is ordered to hide. Nothing targeted at it will hit. This leaves you to play a guessing game, hoping that you can have a force in a province that a stealther will try to take, as it tries to take it.

... which target random units in the province, rather than commanders (commanders are also units...)... hmm...
... but if they have fire and cold immunity... hmm...

Re: assassination spells and stealty commanders/ar
Very well. Then what are the counters for stealthy assassins and armies?
Given that it's not possible to target them with the said spells. Guarding the commanders doesn't help as the assassins are equipped with summoning items that can overcome the body guard.
I wonder what are the chances to flush a stealthy commander given a certain PD and certain patrolling force. For example, what are the chances of discovery for a +5 stealth spy on a 10 PD province patrolled by thirty archers?
Are there spells that help towards improving the discovery chance of stealthy commanders?

Re: assassination spells and stealty commanders/ar
@Viscious Love: to my knowledge, Flames from the Sky and Murdering Winter won't hit stealthed units. If you are certain that they do, please post clarification.
@izaqyos: Counters for stealthed assassins: equip the commanders you especially don't want to be assassinated as well as the assassins are equipped. Recruit cheap commanders, keep them with important forces, let the enemy assassinate these instead.
Stealthy armies are a bit harder. You can have an SC or two randomly moving around your provinces; make the enemy guess what you will be defending from turn to turn. Begin employing the same tactics against him.
I can't give you precise numbers, but the chance of 10 pd + 30 patrolling arches catching a +5 stealth unit I'd describe as "decent". This tends not to help much though - spies will tend to find some other province to incite.
No spells help locate the stealthy.

The eyes of god are supposed to make patrolling easier.
It might be better to attack your enemies provinces than try to defend your own.

@Truper, this is solid advice. Thanks.
@Molog, for sure your suggestion is good. Consider however a situation when you face multiple fronts. Sometimes, you are in a situation forcing you to be at the receiving end of the punishment with limited capability for returning it. I guess the objective in such a situation is to minimize losses.

arcane strands or whatever it is called (the one that searches within your dominion for magic sites and hidden foes) will sometimes discover and kill/feeble mind hidden enemies.
I am told fires from afar hits sneaking hidden enemies also.
