Retrofit Problem
In NGC3, I have a number of ships that need to be retrofitted. I also have ample resources, well over 100K of each. For the past two turns, I get Messages that I do not have sufficient resources to retrofit the ships. (This is for all ships with retrofit commands).
I am being destroyed because these ships aren't available and can't figure out what's wrong. I built them without weapons and they are worthless without retrofitting.
Anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks...Greybeard

Re: Retrofit Problem
After having checked, Ruatha was having the same problem but didn't manage to find out a solution. (Except "build a new ship" of course) There is another thread about this problem, perhaps it may solve your problem? You would have to ask Geoschmo about running the turn offline to check though. Hope it helps!

Re: Retrofit Problem
Make sure not to convert resources. Resource convertion is done before retrofitting and if this uses up all the resources in your stroage the ship will not be upgraded. Hope this helps!

Re: Retrofit Problem
I hope this is not a bug. However, if it is a bug, can you guys do some testing to try to recreate it and maybe we can get it fixed in the next patch.

Re: Retrofit Problem
In Ruatha's case all I could determine is it was some sort of bug. I believe he sent it to Malfador. Actually I may have too, I can't remember now. I haven't looked at Greybeards yet.

Re: Retrofit Problem
I have converted resources on some turns where this occurred, but only the excess above what was needed for current construction, maintenance, and retros. If this were the problem, I would expect that at least 1 or 2 ships to be retro'ed before getting the lack of resources message.
This Last turn, I did not convert any resources, so that shouldn't have been a problem. I did accept a gift of a small quantity of resources, but that didn't significantly affect my totals.
Thanks for the hints. I'm doing so poorly that even if it works now it may be too late (but I hope not )...Greybeard

Re: Retrofit Problem
I'd like to check the savegame so could you keep it until the game is over and I can get the passwords.

Re: Retrofit Problem
Geo checked my gamefile when I had the same problem in the same game.
He saw it was reproducable and unexplainable and sent it to M&M, (Yes, You did it!).
I haven't found any solution!

Re: Retrofit Problem
According to Malfador it's a planet that's converting resources that has repeat orders that's causing it, it's correct for me!
Will test to remove that order, didn't know I had it, a mistake!
