Possible minor bug in PBEM Campaign
Just about to move off in my first turn - of the third battle - in a PBEM campaign, when I noticed that I could see an enemy halftrack.
The halftrack was in a place where I shouldn't be able to spot it, and no aircraft have yet been used.
I set up this battle, but in a PBEM camp I'm not certain if my first turn is 1a or 1b.
I've included a saved game. It's slot 005 and my password is (John if you're reading this, avert your eyes ) 'blunder'.

Re: Possible minor bug in PBEM Campaign
1) Thread moved to the correct sub-forum.
2) Got it, and will try to have a look at it some time this week.

Re: Possible minor bug in PBEM Campaign
Good news...I am on turn 2, and can no longer see that enemy halftrack. Perhaps it was just a setup related bug.

OK - there was a half track spotted.
Unfortunately with that save it had already been spotted. So not actually able to be debugged as the circumstances cannot be recreated.
Any turn 0 activity like aircraft happened?
is this the exact file your opponent sent you, or had you done something already?
Cheers

Well - I dont know what did it, but i seem to have found how to fix it by ensuring the LOS list and spotted flags are properly cleared just before the preliminary bombardment starts.
Should clear the problem.

Re: Possible minor bug in PBEM Campaign
Hi Andy,
I guess this means we will see this fix in the next update?
We are now on turn 6, and I just came across the problem again when replaying my opponents turn.
During the replay of my artillery stonk (after his move) I saw some tanks that I shouldn't have been able to see.
If you've got this fixed then great, and thanks...
If you want another saved file, just let me know.
Cheers,
Cross

If aircraft made a pass, then that is a known and so-far unfixable problem.

Re: Possible minor bug in PBEM Campaign
And any "sighting" will stay on map and will NOT clear until that vehicle moves. It doesn't matter if the game last 99 turns. If you see it on turn one and it doesn't move you'll see it on turn 99.
