Well I dont think you can call this a real review but I love it.
I will try to mention some new stuff....
There is a tutorial (player written) and a manual (player written). I have always said you cant get better than that.
Another thing that I greatly appreciate is the slots. In Dom2 if someone wanted to create a nation they had to overwrite ne. Since I tend to play lesser-liked nations it was often my favorites that a mod chose to replace. With Dom3 there are "empty" slots for modders to fill.
I dont really mod much but I understand that the new copystats and copysprites commands are a going to be big with the modders.
If you know my Dom2minions.com site then you know that I loved random maps. The fact that Dom3 generates random maps is fantastic. They are Kristoffer quality which are much better than the random maps I created for Dom2. I expect to see many more player scenarios now that anyone can get random maps to improve on.
Another big thing with maps is the network support. If I host a game and you dont have the map, the game will send it to you when you first connect. That can be done with player created maps, or with a random map that was created specifically for that game. Way easier to get into a game now.
You can queue up 100 units in a province. And you can shift-click to add 10 units to queue.
I like that the game menu is not as confusing to new people. If you start a game it takes you into god-creation with a button to load a premade one if you have it. Otherwise you can just continue making one for that game.
Oh yeah, and Flying Monkees.
