Another 1.78 bug
Tonite I formed an alliance with an alien species and one of their escort ships came to one of my planets. When I clicked on the ship what I got in the righthand window was the ship icon followed by a bunch of '=''s, thusly:
ship ==================
no name.
Here's what my designname text file looks like:
===============================
-- [Escort] --
Escort EC-
Sentinel EC-
===============================
-- [Explorer] --
Nebula NC-
Rover NC-
Pathfinder NC-
Forager NC-
===============================
etc.
It looks as if it's reading my empiredesigns.txt
I'd like to send the save game and related files to Malfador but I don't see an aadr for them to do so.

Re: Another 1.78 bug
This doesn't look like a bug...more likely the computer player has been set to use the same design names file as you. The computer doesn't know that "=========" is a divider and treats it as any other name.

How do I 'unset' it?

Re: Another 1.78 bug
Once the game is in progress you cannot. However, if you used a pre-made empire file for the computer player, check it to see if you have the design file set to your one.

Re: Another 1.78 bug
The best fix would be to put your customized design name list in a uniquely named file that the AI doesn't use.
I'd recommend cutting all the = dividers out, too; your --[class]-- headers should provide enough organization for you to read the file.
AFAIK, there's no way to fix this in the current game. I've never seen changes to a design list propagate to a game that was started before the changes were made. (I have no idea why the game saves this information, rather than reading the file on an as needed basis.)

My custom design file is called Antaran.txt.
I think that I know what happened --
I took the design name files such as ROMANIA.TXT out of the folder not realizing that the AI might use these files (du'oh!). So it used the first text file remaining!
