AFAIK the class 5 missle has the highest damage rating of all the missles and torpedoes.
Why should the damage done by a missle or torpedo decrease with distance? The warhead should not change...

Yes, but I believe that they should have put a missle or torpedo that's both more lethal and faster and/or has a longer range and/or has a faster reload time somewhere along the line of development.

Is there anyway to resupply a fleet in space other than equipping each ship with an emergency resupply pod? Is it possible to build supply ships to re-fuel the fleet?
