Re: Generals and outrunning their own bodyguards

I find most of the cavalry commanders to be useful as early-item based stiffening to the flankers. I guess since I seem to use SCs less than others and have a bizarre need to level up characters I...

Re: Wound & Experience indicators

I know about those shortcuts: however you still need to check to see HOW wounded or HOW experienced they are, so you need to screw around with the status windows. What if wounded or experienced were...

Re: Generals and outrunning their own bodyguards

My comments all refer to early game. As others have mentioned, in mid or late game its easy to buff the *** out of leaders: at the start it isn't. Without magic, most pretenders are just prot10...

Wound & Experience indicators

Is it possible to get little red dots for wounds and little gold dots for experience to show up on the army setup screen? Having to check manually, having to use 'e' and 'w' as workarounds is fiddly...

Re: Automation vs Micromanagement

The game situation does change at quite a pace; however, moving armies around behind the front line (particularly with 20+ forts) is fiddly and annoying when you should be able to set a destination...

Re: Automation vs Micromanagement

I searched for 'micro' and 'automation' and didn't find much. I appreciate that its been done to death; as I stated, I was trying to get a feel for the community.

That feeling is that most people...

Re: Generals and outrunning their own bodyguards

You're kidding? Even the standard generals can be effective in combat with guards; and even pretenders will get sliced by themselves. Guards are essential until you've got piles of magic items.

Generals and outrunning their own bodyguards

Is there a way to restrict a fast general to stay with a unit? I enjoy heroes slicing up the enemy at the front line, but if they're mounted, or even worse FLYING they'll almost always outrun their...

Re: Automation vs Micromanagement

Play by EMAIL? Christ. No wonder you people are so anti-automation; you've got DAYS per turn.

My point remains: most people don't. Implementing auto-scouting, or auto-siting, or auto-tax or...

Automation vs Micromanagement

How does everyone here feel about this issue? I'm curious to get a feel for how the community sees the contrast between some very automated elements (recruiting, ritual magic) and some very...
