Re: Questions of a Newbie
I presume that the last question was referring to the support points used for purchasing auxiliary assets in campaigns, and not to the experience.

Re: point tally
As far as I know, it is simply a case of:
Victory points = [value of objective hexes held] + [purchase cost of destroyed enemy units] + [damage value of damaged enemy units]

This is a bit difficult to comment on without knowing the specifics, like which 122 mm and 155 mm tubes are in question? There are a number of different guns of those calibers available, with varying...

As far as I am aware, Japanese are affected by suppression the same way as everyone else.
However, they usually tend to have high morale scores.

Got to agree about the transports. They are very handy for meeting encounters where both sides are advancing, but on many other scenarios they can easily end up just providing extra targets for the...

Would there be much of practical benefit for such?
Personally, I have found it much more beneficial to deploy obstacles well in depth, rather than trying to cram a lot of them in a single hex. For...

Re: What is wrong with RPGs?
One big advantage of the RPG-7 in the Soviet OOB is that it is available in great numbers, with almost every infantry squad packing one. And on top of that you can have also scout squads with them...

Re: What is wrong with RPGs?
I think this might be a case of the observer bias - weapons always seem more effective when fired by the enemy than when fired by your own troops.

If we are talking about the classic RPG-7, it might be worth keeping in mind the historical framework. In the early 60's when it was taken into use, it would pose a threat to most of the armour in...
