Other...

just my opinion, but i think overly large maps (for the sake of manuever) are a waste of time.
Remember...

Re: Idea of multiplayer roleplaying huge battles with real chain of command.

I would rename the units for easier tracking so there is consistency. Players would be limited to only calling for fire/air by submitting a request and getting permission from the CO and coordinating...

Re: Idea of multiplayer roleplaying huge battles with real chain of command.

re Icamp,
I like it, but coordinating moves and such things may be a little hard.[/QUOTE]

Non cd users could just rename thier units, keeping units more...

Re: Idea of multiplayer roleplaying huge battles with real chain of command.

This will take some dedication,i'm up for it!

I beleive when the x0 is wiped out, then the x1 takes over "and so on down the chain" with it's own rally factors, usaully much less than the orginal...

Re: Idea of multiplayer roleplaying huge battles with real chain of command.

I would be happy to be in command of maybe a mech Bn held in reserve, then pieced out as needed, as fire brigades:D

robertt,

I'm not saying this is a bad idea, but getting enough players interest here,is not likely going to happen;)

You should post this idea on the:
Blitz,

Re: Idea of multiplayer roleplaying huge battles with real chain of command.

This has been discussed and even done before on the Blitz, but with only human players, not sure if against the AI.
I see better gameplay if it's HU players only.

The trouble when playing the AI is...

Re: WinSPMBT "house rules"

I go with Cross's preferences pretty much myself,
But now days keeping Arty within 5% and tanks and armour no more than 25% for a single battle.

When playing a campaign,
I am starting with...

Re: Upgrading unit "A0"

HQ's should never be used as a "fighting force" other than plotting atry and rallying so whether they have SAW's, mmgs ect.or just the old rifles and grenades is not important, a non issue,
If you...

Re: USA versus Warsaw Pact 1986-Ferg

@ Roman

Don't you have to be in windowed mode first?

Been awhile since i've done a screen shot, maybe things have changed.

Re: WinSPMBT "house rules"

1)Bridges are choke points and should be given consideration when placing VH's.

2)Depending on the range of atgm's they dont have to move much and they are 0 size, better they find a good FoV and...

Re: Spotter Planes

Since i never use spotter A/C or most of my opponents in pbem,i was not aware of that:o
They should not be used in pbem, if they are they get shot down too easily,a waste of air points.

Not real sure what you are getting at.
Do you mean if you are spotted, then you should know by what means of aircraft?
It's simple, as your AA that fires, whether dedicated AA, sams or small arms or...

Re: Fighters and bombers recon

I agree with ICAMP,they only seem to spot units out in the open on hills or along the thier flight path,(which includes adjacent hexs), and not every hidden unit is spotted.
