Start Dominions from a terminal window and you will probably get an error message when the game exits.

It should work, but you won't get any output (text or graphics) at all. So if you start a text server in windows it will be invisible and to make it exit you will have to use the alt+ctrl+del...

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Put mod file in your dominions2/mods directory. Unzip it. Go to settings menu in Dominions 2 and enable the mod. It's even easier to disable.

Gandalf has got the correct answer for OS X as well. It's the same as the Linux location. (~ is your home directory).

To add the scout you must use the #addscout command. There can only be one commander and one scout. Also the #clear command doesn't work yet, but it will do in the next patch.

There have been many bugs fixed for the upcoming patch, especially for the windows Version. So I prefer if you mail the files to us after the patch and if the bug still remains.

Units will only get extra fatigue in cold/heat +3 provinces unless they are cold blooded, in which case they will also get fatigue for cold>=0.

Penetration is exactly the same as for mages. So a level 4 priest will have 1 better penetration than a level 2 priest. Pentetration items help too.

Yup, if you use alpha channel you have to make a proper black, alpha 50% shadow too.
