Default Dominions I question - Cave of Ghouls

In one of my ongoing Dominions I games, I found a Cave of Ghouls, which claims I can enter it to get some ghouls. I found one of these in Doms II, and was able to enter it using a pedestrian Death-1 mage, using the "enter site" command. In Doms I though, I sent a mounted Death-1 commander to my Cave of Ghouls, but they don't get an "enter site command" - can mounted units not enter sites, or is it some other reason?

The unit is Air-4 Death-1 Blood-1 Holy-3, with some units assigned to it.

Have you tried removing the units under his command?

I thought that in Doms I you don't get an 'Enter Site' command as such, you just select the commander then click on the site icon at the top of the screen.

Anyway, count your blessings. I know this snippet because a) my copy of DomsII is still on backorder, and b) the DomsI demo is the only one small enough for me to download over west Wales' ultra-modern telecommunications network.

Thanks! I'll try both suggestions when I get back to the computer than has that game on it.

Ah, Gavin was correct. The commander's underlings didn't need to be removed, but the interface is different in Doms I - you select the commander, and then click on the site, and then they magically get a previously-unlisted command to enter the site.

Thanks all!

I'm glad you appreciate our advances in user friendliness with Dominions II!

Heh, yes. I also noticed that the unit graphics do seem to have become about twice as detailed as they were in Dominions I.
