I look at it this way: Mothers of Avalon are recruitable everywhere, and they are supposed to commonly have warden bodyguards. So, it seems like wardens should be at least as common as the mothers.

While I do agree the prevalence of e9n4 blesses is quite annoying, I think a really workable thug army of lord wardens would be quite a feat.

A nerf was intentional, but not as drastic as it turned out (I forgot just how sucky it was unmodded). Next version it will probably go back as it was for LA, and +10 gems +1n/d needed for other eras.

This is a big reason behind cheaper pans.

I considered lower gem cost, but I was convinced that would give tartarian troops less of a niche, and make GoH and the chalice that much more critical....

MA Ulm could probably use some more help, but they can now equip black lords with Hero's Blades to counter a lot of stuff.

I don't think that's really kingmaking. It seems totally legit to trash provinces in a losing war, just so you can hold out longer.
