To be honest,i'm very hesitant about switching,upgrading tanks,as it seems exp.decreases by at least 5.
So it better be a very good improvement.

You might try turning fast artillery "on",,if it still takes too long,then go for smaller battles with less arty bombards:)

Are captured tanks so alien to experieced tankers to figure out?
I think not as WW2 tanks were not really very complicated as modern tanks are.

Well,essentialy it's your plum to pick what kind of engagment you prefer.
Say you want a large battle with mostly infantry then you should use more turns,on the heavy armour side with all the CM and...

You'd also have to concider morale and exp.type,status and what cover they have of said unit.
Just because they get fire from both front and rear should not mean automatic surrender.

You are using the same VH over and over.
Place a VH and then use the "N" key to go on to the next flag..note the VH# has changed, or next and back on the interface.

As for myself,there is never an agreement on smoke.

I'd allow smoking on first turn,or whenever, but never first turn arty bombarding.

Using smoke can be an double edged sword as an opponent...

I'm good with playing as allies and in the Med.
So only 2 units huh? guessing morter support is not really that essential as nothing to hit basically,, but you did say small;)

It could be a tug of war if one player decides to shift fire to help his forces when...

Whenever you get those crazy high fail #'s, it was a computer or game crash and he had to reinstall on your opponents side.
I know this becuase it has happen to me;)
