Default More morale modifiers?

Perhaps there should be additional situational morale modifiers. Consider troops faced with a no-retreat do-or-die battle; would they not fight a bit more fervently than usual? Defending the national capital province would also have a similar effect... and in the case of a battle over the defender's /Last/ province, perhaps both sides should get a morale bonus (the attacker too, as they're looking at the possibility of inflicting a final defeat).
I could also see a negative modifier for starting in battle without being assigned to a specific commander, e.g. either because the commander was neutralized during the magical phase or because the unit was part of the province garrison only... but if -1 is the smallest magnitude it'll go that may be a bit harsh.

Default Re: More morale modifiers?

-1 for having no leader, or having your leader killed during combat makes sense to me.

-1 for being more than 2 heat/cold levels away from your preferance makes sense as well.

+1 for your god being present on the battlefield.

I would not mind a new Level-2 holy spell, "Warrior's Blessing", same area (or slightly smaller) as bless, that gave +1 morale to non-sacred units for the duration of the battle. There should be some advantage to having a representative of your God in battle with you. Otherwise, why would modern armies (which do not AFAIK have sacred units ) employ chaplains? This also might just be open to some themes or nations - Ceremonial Faith, or Marginon, IF Ulm, Vanheim, for example... though I'd like to see it for all nations.

I'd also like to see additional dominion effects, for all non-mindless units. Perhaps something like this (cumulative):

Dominion......Effect

-1...................-1 MRL
+0..................
+1..................+1 MRL
+2..................
+3..................+1 ATT
+4..................
+5..................+1 STR
+6..................
+7..................
+8..................+1 MRL
+9..................
+10................+1 Reinvigoration

They are employed to cast Sermon of Courage

God and temperature are reasonable. Not sure if there is a morale check at leader death. Might be.
