Clearing orders on warp damage?

So, when a ship happens to take damage from a damaging storm or warp point, do they clear their current movement orders during simultaneous movement?

So far I'm 3/3 with losing ships that take damage warping through a damaging warp point near a black hole. I'm wondering if it theoretically helps their chances of making it through to add armor and speed, or not...
