TCP/IP Games...
Hmmm..... I was wondering if any of ya'll could help me out here. Me and my bro just bought SE4 Gold and we live an hour apart, so we wanted to start a IP game. But when we set everything up just like the book and stuff says to do it won't let either one of us connect to the host. I tried being host and it wouldn't let him connect, then he tried being host and same thing happened. Do any of you know what's happening here? But when I tried the game between my computer and my parents computer it worked just fine through IP connection. What's wrong? If any of you could help I'd be thankful!

Re: TCP/IP Games...
Are either of you running a NAT firewall or something like Zone Alarm?
That is probably the issue.

Re: TCP/IP Games...
Well I thought we weren't, but I forgot that I had a firewall set up. That explains it, thanks for suggesting that though.

Re: TCP/IP Games...
You can still play with a firewall, you just need to open up certain ports.

Re: TCP/IP Games...
Is there any hope of getting TCP/IP play to
work through a NAT firewall? I haven't
managed to get it working, even putting
my machine in the DMZ.

Re: TCP/IP Games...
People say they are putting their machine in the DMZ... I rather thought that meant in front of the firewall, no? Therefore, your problem would be something else at that point.
