Default Question for Beta Testers on the new AI

How well does the new AI play with no bonus and low bonus?

If the AI is stronger now, is the low bonus too much of a jump (2x)???

Should it be 1.5x,2x,3x for low, med, and high bonus instead of 2x,3x,5x ?????

I'm concerned 2x might be a little too strong now and no bonus a little too weak.

I guess the new AI is so good that no Beta testers want to admit losing to it.

There was some discussion in the "upcoming patch" topic from some of the beta testers on how much tougher the AI is now. The Baron was saying its like a whole new game. No real details though.

Myself, I'd like to know how they're testing the new Mod directory option and how its working out. Not likely to hear anything though.

They're pretty tight with the beta info. Likely that's because if they talk about some feature and it doesn't make it into the released patch the way it was described, they fear people will get upset.

Understandable, but not likely with the group of fine folks on this board.

I am not a beta tester, but i have played the game after that defense base bug was discovered (removed it). I can only say that the AI is much more active now that it's building is not limited. In Version 1.19 the WHOLE infrastructure AI state was screwed up because it had that defense base call in it. As long as the AI was in infrastructure state its building was almost totally halted, and even after that (though i'm not sure of this) as long as the AI had defense bases it experienced serious building problems. And with all those other bug fixes i'am sure that the AI is much more lethal than it was in v1.19...

Cold,

People do get upset, and I am not currently testing the mod directories. We need to get teh gaem to work with the way it is set up before we go playing with mods.

Seawolf, thanks for the good info. I thought that might be the case.
