Two Prophets Game!!!

I've been playing Dominions since the second incarnation of the game and have never heard of this sort of thing happening, but considering the circumstances it would probably be rare.

My god was leading an army to pacify the giants of Jotunheim. He was astral level 3 and had the artifact Nethgul, so had alot of ways of killing, paralzying and mind controlling people. Anyway, I attack a province and discover that his prophet, a Jotunheim Jarl, is there. During the battle I successfully mind control his prophet and it survives the battle. When I examine my newly acquired soldier I discover that it still has the prophet mark in its profile and when I look at its stats I see that it is still receiving prophet bonuses. Thinking that maybe my prophet had died I check and see that they are still doing their job and fine.

I then give the Jotunheim Jarl the Gift of Reason and now have two prophets instead of one!!!! Has anyone else had something like this happen ever???

Yeah you can have multiple prophets by charming/mind controlling enemy ones. Additionally, I've heard that ryleh dreamlands madness occassionally produces additional prophets.

Yes, the insane cultist who get random orders often turn themselves into prophets

I think I was up to about 8 in my rlyeh game. I was still annoyed when my original one got killed though, sicne he was the only sane one.

You can also get multiple prophets by summoning an unique monster (King of Earth etc.), prophetising him, letting him die, waiting until you can appoint a new prophet and doing so, and finally resummoning the original prophet, who has retained his prophet status.

You can also prophet mercenary leaders which can be fun altho I dont think releasing it and then getting them back quite has the same doubling effect.
