Will SEIV GOLD work on Dell laptops with ME?

I want to purchase SEIV Gold, but only for my laptop (I have the original on my desktop)... I was one of those who posted about SEIV and a Dell Laptop running ME (8100 Inspiron) and how I have to leave it on a half hour (at least) in order for the game not to crash....

I really want to play on my laptop.. but don't want to waste the money if this isn't fixed.

I too am one of those who has been posting Messages regarding the problem Jason is referring to, and because at least one person has reported the problem on a Dell desktop machine running ME, I suspect that the problem may be more widespread than Dell laptops. For details, see the Game Unplayable thread.

Richard, I'll interpret your invitation to help with this problem broadly and send you a separate email -- that way if you intended it only for Jason, you can turn me down in private .

I too would be willing to help out, I am the person with the Dell desktop with WinME that has the same problem as those reported by the laptop Users.
